When 10 Isn’t 10

Today marked the tenth walk in my 30 Before 30 challenge – trying to walk 30 different walks before my 30th birthday in April next year. Or so I thought.

It seems I made one up. 10 isn’t 10, when it’s 9.

Oops!

Oh well, it was a lovely ninth walk. We parked in the village of Scorton and walked up Nicky Nook – a first for all of us. What a beautiful view we were rewarded with, after a simple climb.

Our little girl has started walking in the last 2 weeks, so she enjoyed her first descent on foot today. She did well, a future rambler!

Because we thought it was my 10th walk, and so a third of the way through the challenge (with 7.5 months to go), my husband treated us to afternoon tea at The Priory in Scorton. I mean, we would have had food anyway… we like cake… I guess we will just have to have more tea and cake when I actually do the tenth walk.
